I’ve had my eye on Cassie for a hot minute. She’s like a good hug on a bad day. I was originally going to do one post with two prints, but once I got started styling I couldn’t stop so I decided to break it up into two posts: one for the 9-5 and one for the weekend. This is the 9-5 Boss Lady Cassie. I took her to work today and she made shit happen. #LeanIn
Cassie Pencil Skirt courtesy of LuLaRoe Grace Anderson. If there is anyone who appreciates mixing and matching patterns as much as I do, it’s Grace. Size XS for reference.
Button Up: Banana Republic – old, similar here on sale for $39.99
Necklace: SaksOff5th – not sold online, similar here
Armstack: Michael Kors ‘Bradshaw’ Watch and Michael Kors Wrap Bracelet – old, similar here
Heels: Banana Republic – old, similar here
Lips: NARS Charlotte (they call this color Oxblood Burgundy. It’s the mistress to red. Meow.)
Bodysuit: Zara (bodysuits were a staple for me growing up so I’m not going to lie I’m pretty stoked they are back in style!)
Car Coat: H&M (I wore this coat the other day with a basic tee and jeans. It’s way more versatile than you would think. I’m into it.)
Brooches: Dove is from Banana Republic – old, similar here or a hummingbird here and the orchid is from Zara – old, similar here or here (a brooch is a great alternative to a necklace when you just need a litte somethin somethin. I love to shop for vintage ones at antique shops or on Etsy.)
Heels and Lips: both same as above
Button Up: Banana Republic – old, same fit here in pink and in a similar blue here
Sweater: Banana Republic – old, as close as I could find in terms of style here and then you could DIY with this 4 pack for $4 of bug brooches from TopShop
Heels and Lips: both same as above (it was a late photo shoot, I got lazy. Plus these shoes really do go with everything.)
Blouse: Zara – old, short sleeve star print here or some long sleeve options for under $20 at H&M here.
Heels and Lips: both same as above
Blouse: Evereve – old, similar Polka Dot here, or this fun subtle Mermaid Print here, or this Mustard Floral here, or I also love this Poplin Top with the Knot (the silk blouse possibilities are endless depending on the print of your skirt!)
Booties: Frye Regina Heel Ankle Boot (heyo, I finally changed my shoes!)
Next up is Athleisure Cassie. She’s cool, too. Make sure you sign up for the To Wit Weekly Newsletter so you don’t miss it!

Love your layering and mixing and matching of patterns!
thanks for your wonderful fashion sense!
Thank you so much! I love sharing my passion with others. I hope to inspire 🙂
YOU ARE SO TALENTED!!!! I love the Cassie for how comfy it is and how it can be dressed up or dressed down. Of course, I can never successfully do either myself, lol, but I love seeing your ideas. 🙂
Aww thank you so much the sweet compliment! That made me smile 🙂 There is SO much you can do with the Cassie; I hope you found some ideas you can easily replicate!
The Cassie is my favorite skirt! Pattern mixing is not my strong suit and you do it great! I’m a floral Cassie loving pattern so I love the skirt you chose.
Thanks, Debbie! I love the art of mixing and matching patterns and playing with color pairings. In another life I would have gone to school for textile design. I’ve always loved a good floral print so I was thrilled when they came back in such a big way over the last couple of years. Pairing it with a stripe, polka dot, or leopard print keeps it from looking too “grandma’s couch” if you know what I mean 😉
Oh My HECK!
That last outfit…so cute!
You are adorable Amy. Wish I could go shopping with you 🙂
