That Irma. She’s so much more than just a t-shirt. Just like with all the gals in the LuLaRoe collection, you can take her pretty much anywhere and she’ll fit in just fine. I met Irma the same night I met LuLaRoe Consultant Leah Tilstra. Leah and I are kindred spirits. Within the first 5 minutes of the Pop-Up Boutique we were bonding over scrubbing poop out of our son’s underwear because my child suddenly thinks wiping is optional and hers, well, shit happens. Speaking of underwear, this momprenuer has a genius invention that I cannot wait to put to the pee test the next time I go for a run. It might be a while because let’s not forget I’m lazy, but I promise to share when I do!
I wasn’t initially drawn to this print on the hanger but I’ve been surprised before by LuLaRoe so I slipped it on and wore it around for a bit. By the end of the party we had all agreed she needed to come home with me. Size XXS for reference. They suggest sizing down 2 sizes for the Irma and I suggest throwing one more X in there and we’ve really got a deal. wink, wink.
Zip Back Sweater: Banana Republic – old, similar Free People ‘Arctic Fox’ (It has a zipper up the back which shows off more of the print adding an element of fun to otherwise basic sweater)
Jeans: Hudson Nico Skinny
Boots: Donald Pliner ‘Devi’ – old, obsessed (the style is still available but this olive color is hard to find anymore)
Necklace: Evereve
Lip: MAC ‘Amorous’
Button Up: Banana Republic ‘Riley’ – this exact color is sold out but it’s here in a different shade of blue
Pants: JCrew ‘Teddie’ – currently on sale! (I also have these in pink. Never be afraid to find a good pair of pants and buy them in multiple colors.)
Shoes: Michael Kors – old, but similar from Nine West here with the gold heel
Watch: Michael Kors ‘Bradshaw’
Lip: MAC ‘Rebel’
Here are a couple step-by-step pics to show how I tied the shirt to look like a crop top:
Step 1: Tie a small knot off to the side
Step 2: Tuck the knot under so you can’t see it. Easy peasy.
Velvet Blazer: JCrew – old, newer version here or from Old Navy here for only $50! (you know how you hold onto clothes and then every couple of years you pull something out of your closet and are like, “see, this is why I’m a hoarder.” This year is the year of velvet so I’m glad I’ve kept ‘er around.)
Brooch: Zara – old, similar here, also love this jewel toned one
Jeans: Hudson Nico Skinny
Pumps: JCrew Factory (only 7 and 7.5 left, similar pair by Sam Edelman here)
Hat: Michael Stars (also comes in gray and has an adjustable band on the inside for those who have smaller heads. That ain’t me, Babe.)
Sweater: JCrew ‘Tippi’ (I have this sweater in 3 colors. It’s the perfect weight and stretch for layering) similar version for less at JCrew Factory
Necklace: Evereve – old, also like this turquoise pendant
Jeans: 7 for all Mankind Ankle Skinny
Booties: Vince Camuto, also love these with the side cutouts
See what I did here? Ditched the hat, switched out the necklace and heels, and then added a jacket. It’s a completely different look from the pic above without a lot of effort. That’s how I Roe.
Suede Moto Jacket: Evereve (I didn’t even try this on until I learned you could remove the fur collar. It just doesn’t fit with the style of jacket in my opinion. Also found it on Lastcall.com for less. Wah.)
Necklace: JCrew – old, similar here for only $30! (I lend out my jewelry to friends quite a bit for formal events. They always say “why do you have so much fancy jewelry?” This is why! Sparkly things aren’t just meant for formal affairs!)
Pumps: Enzo Angiolini – old, similar here and in a slingback here
Chambray Jacket: C&C California (Adding a 3rd piece to an outfit is one of my go-to ways to complete a look)
Leggings: Lululemon ‘Inspire Tight II’ also like these mesh pannel leggings by Alo
Sneakers: Nike Orive
I figured I’d sub out the tub in the background for something a little more scenic.
Hat: Saks Off 5th – old, but I like this wine colored one or this one or this color block one
Chambray Shirt: Gap – old, similar here
Jeans: Paige Verdugo Ankle Skinny
Over The Knee Boots: Dolce Vita ‘Silas’
Clutch: Marc Jacobs – old, similar color from Tory Burch here
I’ve had a few requests to show curvier woman wearing LuLaRoe pieces so I enlisted my mom as the model. I keep telling her she’s not ready to go viral yet which is why I won’t show her full face on the blog. I think I’m funny. Irma courtesy of LuLaRoe Consultant Nicole Friend in size medium for reference.
Chambray Shirt: Saks Off 5th – sold out, similar here (My 3rd piece rule again!)
Leggings: TJ Maxx – old, similar here for under $50!
Personalized Bar Necklace: Nordstrom (This was her 60th birthday gift from all of the grandkids. It has each of their 5 initials on it. Aww.)
Antler Tip Necklace: Tess and Tricia
Sneakers: Nike ‘Flex Trainer 6’
Floral Button Up: Evereve – old, similar here and here
Tassle Necklace: Evereve or Chico’s- it’s old and we can’t remember, similar style here
Jeans: Express Mid-Rise Stretch Skinny
Booties: Dolce Vita ‘Janae’
Lipstain: Mac ‘It’s Never Ending’ Versicolour Stain
Isn’t my mom adorable? I was tugging on her floral shirt underneath to get it to lay right before snapping a pic and she goes, “this is what I have to do to your father every morning. He always comes downstairs and is like ‘Do me! Do me!'” and then my dad and I awkwardly exchanged looks before we all burst out in laughter. Irma’s feeling a bit frisky today, I see! I guess that’s my cue to leave…
XO,
Amy

Oh my gosh, your style is out of this world! Love it! Just found Lularoe and your stylings are great!!!!!
You are so sweet; thank you for the note! What is your favorite LLR piece? Mine was Carly but then I met Sarah!
Your stylings are the best I’ve found with LuLaRoe.
I’m grinning from ear to ear :). Thank you so much! There are so many fashionable women sporting this brand that I take that compliment as a huge honor!
I agree!!!
Love your style from another lady who lacks controls!!
Yes, THANK YOU! HAHA!
I like how you layer your Irma. It’s so hard to pick the right printed Irma shirt. I don’t want to look like a walking neon sign but the one you chose is a classy print, if that makes any sense at all.
I love your ideas…My Irmas are a bit larger…but you gave me some great inspiration!!!! I love your blog! And your wit 😉
HAHA! Thank you! And thank you for all your engagement! People like you are why I keep doing this 🙂 Happy New Year!
Thank you for these guides I pinned your Carly post awhile ago! I guess I need to try on some more irmas the one I have is an XXS and not as cute and fitted as yours is 😔. Wondering if it was miss sized now cause you are tiny. I’m excited to try and make it work with your styling ideas tho!!
Hi! I haven’t worn the Irma by itself without something over or under it, so that could make it appear more fitted? Try the layering and see how you feel about it! Keep me posted 🙂
