Anyone else feeling a little stressed this holiday season? I had 40 hours of PTO to use before the end of the year or I’d lose it, so you would think that would give me PLENTY of time to get my life in order – but no. I always went into my day off with a plan and then ended up nursing a hangover on the couch because I didn’t have to work the next morning so why wouldn’t I stay up late and drink too much? OR I ended up nursing a sick kid back to health because daycare is a cesspool of germs this time of year. Kids always get in the way of my plans. Sigh.
The few times I actually made it to the mall I got side tracked by all the deals and the only gifts I left with were for me, myself, and I. My favorite pair of JCrew ‘Teddie’ pants are only $36? They fit too well not to own them in at least 3 colors. And of course I had to get this Fair Isle Sweater in poppy to go with this navy Sequin Pleated Skirt from Banana that was 40% off. Hello Christmas Eve outfit! Oh and then Anthropologie had 30% off their entire store on Black Friday so I couldn’t pass up a chance to save on this Fireside Tutrleneck in dark grey, and this Balloon-Sleeve Pullover in red (big sleeves are all the rage for 2017), and this Quilted Cozy Coat that I’ve worn about every day since I bought it. THERE ARE SO MANY SALES! My husband has this rule where I’m not supposed to buy anything for myself in the month of December. Whoops. I did hand over my bag of goodies from the Sip and Shop party for him to wrap up for Christmas though so that should count for something, right? I wouldn’t say I’ve been bad this year, but I haven’t exactly been good either…
Here’s a quick recap of the top sellers from the last Sip and Shop Party at Evereve:
- Chaser ‘Vacation Por Favor’ Graphic Tee
- Lysse Leggings
- L/S Turtle by Free People
- ASTARS ‘Savannah’ Jacket
- Michael Stars ‘Madison Brushed Cowl Neck Sweater’
- Dylan ‘Madison’ Vest
Can we just talk about my eyebrows for a minute? You start to realize how important eyebrows are when you’ve watched a few too many episodes of Caillou, but I’ve never put too much thought into my own until the infamous Sal at NARS filled them in about 2 shades darker than I have been for years and I was like, “Oh. Okay. Damn. Now I get it.” He’s the bees knees.
Sweater: John and Jenn ‘Manon Open Cardy’
Graphic Tee: Blondie by Junk Food (sold out online, but I also like this Def Leppard one.)

How gorge is this little mama-to-be bestie of mine? I can hardly stand it!
I really should just work here…
