I don’t think I’ll ever get on board with a capsule wardrobe because I grow tired of things too easily – and I love to shop, let’s be real. But I am trying to be more intentional about what I’m buying each season. Trying is the key word in that sentence…
This month on Twin Cities Live, I shared a few key pieces worth investing in this summer.
– Look Number 1 –
Investment Pieces: T-Shirt Dress & Block Heels.
The minute this Hot Mama of 4 girls (14, 7, 2 & 6 months) put on this outfit c/o Evereve, I could tell she felt amazing in it! Confidence is sexy, ya’ll.
Blythe Midi Dress (I also get a lot of wear out of this Michael Stars Midi, and this one and this one both by Sundry. I’m typically a small or 4 in dresses which is a size 1 in Sundry for reference.) | Articles of Society Denim Jacket (it’s a softer denim with some stretch. Love it. Also love the idea of this white vegan Moto jacket over it. ) | Brooch Collage: I did my best, vintage daisy, Almost Perfect (when a necklace feels like too much, opt for a brooch instead!) | Kenneth Cole Red Block Heel Sandals (I adore these and think they are totally worth the splurge but I also found a similar pair for less for my gals on a budget.) | Floral Clutch (Banana Republic, old similar here)
– Look Number 2 –
Investment Pieces: Statement Blouse & Tie-Waist Trousers
Elevate your day look by pairing a statement blouse with cut-offs and Birkenstocks or a tie-waist trouser in a bright color or stripe with a basic tank and sandals.
One Shoulder Blouse (also love this one, DYING over this one from Anthro, and just bought this one for under $50) | Tie Waist Peg Pants (petite) (ASOS has a good petite selection. No tailoring needed on these for her 5’0 stature! Similar styles in a regular fit here and here. ) | Block Sandals | Floral Statement Earrings (JCrew, old similar here)
– Look Number 3 –
Investment Pieces: Co-ord Blazer and Shorts Set & Statement Earrings
Seriously, you guys, I’m obsessed with this look. Super chic. Can be worn to SO many places: grad or retirement party, fundraising brunch, networking event, night out on the town, dressed down with a graphic tee, as separates…
Co-ord Blazer and Shorts Set (also loving this yellow linen one, this plaid one, or this classic black seersucker one.) | Sleeveless Tie Neck Blouse | White Sandals | JCrew Floral Hoop Earrings
– My Look –
Tory Burch Floral Blouse (or rent it from RTR like I did! Click here for $30 off your 1st rental.) | Striped Undershirt | Joe’s High Waisted Skinnies | Fringe Sandals (old, similar here and here)| Lips ‘Chanel Double Intensite’
I will never take for granted this incredible opportunity Twin Cities Live has given me to inspire women to feel their best by sharing practical tips for dressing with confidence ♥
Thanks for tuning in monthly, Friends!
